The art on this 1961 Vintage Cincinnati Reds Water Bottle has been custom produced by Vintage Brand. The 1961 Cincinnati Reds season consisted of the Reds winning the National League pennant with a 93–61 record, four games ahead of the runner-up Los Angeles Dodgers, but losing the World Series in five games to the New York Yankees. The Reds were managed by Fred Hutchinson, and played their home games at Crosley Field. Cincinnati's road to the World Series was truly a remarkable one, as the Reds went through significant changes in a single season to improve from a team that won just 67 games and finished 28 games behind the eventual World Series Champion Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960.

The Big Red Machine is a nickname for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team that dominated the National League from 1970 to 1979 and is widely recognized as being among the best in baseball history. The team won six National League West Division titles, four National League pennants, and two World Series titles. The nickname was introduced in a July 4, 1969 article by Bob Hertzel in The Cincinnati Enquirer. Rookie and future-Hall of Fame manager Sparky Anderson headed the Big Red Machine, which at its peak featured Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Pérez, and was supported by Dave Concepción, George Foster, César Gerónimo and Ken Griffey, Sr. They are the only National League team since the 1921 and 1922 New York Giants to win back-to-back World Championships.

The Seattle Pilots were an American professional baseball team based in the 1969 Major League Baseball season. During their single-season existence, the Pilots played their home games at Sick's Stadium and were a member of the West Division of Major League Baseball's American League. On April 1, 1970, the franchise moved to Milwaukee and became the Milwaukee Brewers. The "Pilots" name originated from the city's association with the aviation industry. Seattle had long been a hotbed for minor league baseball and was home to the Seattle Rainiers, a successful team in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). The Cleveland Indians briefly considered a move to Seattle in 1964 but opted to stay in Ohio. In 1967, the Kansas City Athletics discussed a move to Seattle, but ended up moving the Athletics to Oakland. There was no real competition from other professional teams at the time. While Seattle had landed the NBA SuperSonics in 1967, the NBA was not as popular as baseball was at the time. The NFL would come to the city in 1976 with the addition of the expansion Seahawks.
