While elderberry has a long history as an immune booster, we're all about the taste! Add your homemade syrup to hot or cold beverages, like lemonade, tea, or even a vodka spritzer for a delightful twist. Details: All spices used in this hand-mixed blend are certified organic. Ingredients: elderberries, ceylon cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, clove, star anise. One large refill makes approximately 8-12 oz of elderberry syrup. DIY Elderberry Syrup Kit includes large refill, an 8 oz swing top bottle, liquid funnel, printed instructions. Elderberry Syrup Recipe: Combine elderberry spice mix 2 cups water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer until reduced by half, about 30 minutes. Mash and strain through a fine mesh sieve. Use the back of a wooden spoon to push out liquid. Cool to room temp and stir in about 1/2 cup raw honey. We recommend a 1:1 honey ratio. Refill packaging is compostable and not meant for long-term storage. Read about our zero-waste packaging here.
